Because we have so many activities to choose from, our guests, family reunions, and groups never get bored! We have so many all-weather activities to enjoy, you just want to stay another week to fit them all in.
We offer our guests the use of two hot tubs and a sauna. The hot tubs are located on the deck of a new log building which houses a sauna, showers, washroom and our laundry facilities. Your soak in the hot tub is enhanced by the pristine beauty of the area and the mighty Bull Mountain.
It’s not spring without baby animals and other farm fun, so grab your kiddos and get ready to oohh and ahhh over furry and feathered friends. At the ranch we have chickens, goats, miniature ponies, and plenty of other furry friends for you and your kids to meet and learn all about.
We’ve equipped the ranch with plenty of recreational opportunities, from beach volleyball, to horseshoe tossing, to playing at the playground on the swing sets. Bring a soccer ball, frisbee, or football to bring your family and friends together while getting active and having fun.
Take hiking at your own pace. Explore serene and private trails in the Bull River Valley and Mirror Lake. You can get even more out of your time in the wild by booking a guided nature hike with one of our team so you can learn about the valley and its populating flora and fauna.
No need to stay inside during the long winter months waiting for the sun to come out and dreaming about open water. Be adventurous, bundle up, bring your equipment, and enjoy fishing in a whole new way--through the ice! Murray/Mirror Lake can be reached by hiking about 45 minutes.
Murray/Mirror Lake can be reached by hiking about 45 minutes from our ranch. Once you're there, you'll see why it is called Mirror Lake. Bring your own equipment to enjoy paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing, and swimming at this quiet lake nestled away in the Bull River Valley.
The Bull River Guest Ranch is located 11 km away from a BC jewel: Little Sand. Little Sand is a popular area for snowmobiling, downhill skiing and snowboarding in the winter, and hiking, quading and dirt biking in the summer. The best part? Our ranch is close enough that groups can head down the road to Little Sand by sled… right from our location.
On the Bull River road, our ranch is located at km 17, Little Sand is at the km 6 turn off.
While there is no hunting directly on the ranch, experienced guides in the area offer tours for hunting elk, grizzly & black bears, white-tailed & mule deer, mule-deer, shiras moose, rocky mountain goats & bighorn sheep, cougars, linx, bobcats, and wolves.
Bring your bikes to enjoy extensive trails around Bull River. Mountain biking has become a year-round sport in the valley with the addition of fat biking during the snowy months. Mountain bike season begins late April and goes right to the end of October when fat tire season begins.
Gliding down the river at a laid back pace will allow you to relax and soak up the scenery around you. If a peaceful, leisurely float down the river sounds like it’s more your speed, you’ll love floating on the Elk River. We are happy to advise you of guides in the area.
While there are no trails on the ranch, the Bull River area is fast becoming one of the best places to ride a dirt bike or ATV in British Columbia. Not far from the ranch is Koocanusa, a large open play area in the Koocanusa reservoir, and the renowned Little Sand location only 35 minutes away.
While there are no sledding trails on the ranch, snowmobiling trails in the area offer an excellent place for snowmobilers to have an unforgettable adventure. There is virtually no limit to the amount of sledding fun that awaits—from groomed trails to rugged alpine areas.
